I think it’s fair to say my love for fashion began with a Fashion Wheel and a set of Crayola markers!
This really came to fruition when I started my degree in fashion design and completed it with an outstanding graduate award. Following that, I worked as a fashion designer for over 10 years with suppliers to the high street and during this time I spent lots of time travelling back and forth to India and China.
Kirsty Couture was born during that time and started as a smaller side project; mainly for friends and friends of friends as a means of perfecting my sewing and pattern making skills.

My Love of Corsetry
I started to become really interested in corsetry and took up advanced classes to learn the particular skills to construct them. Since then, I have become a member of Foundations Revealed which is an online magazine, forum and community dedicated to perfecting those techniques.
After starting my family, it became the right time to turn my business into my full-time occupation and that leads us to today.
As I work from my home studio, I can be flexible with evening and weekend appointments to fit around your schedule. My wider family are based in South Essex, so I can regularly meet clients there too.

I have used Kirsty Couture on a number of occasions. She made some bespoke tops for me which I am still wearing a number of years later. I also have one of her custom designed corsets which is a real piece of artistry, and it fits me like a glove. I recently took a friend to Kirsty to have her wedding gown tailored, and she was delighted with the end result. I bought the same friend one of Kirsty’s very elegant handmade garters which she wore on the big day.
